EMPLOYMENT LAW: Youth Employment (Case 1)
Facts: Jenny, aged 18 years, is a keen netball player and hopes one day to become a professional netball player. She is currently studying toward a qualification in Sport and Leisure at the local University.
To help her through university, Jenny decided to get a part-time job. Jenny has been working her first job at a local café since 10 March 2014.
Jenny has still not been given an employment agreement although she remembers signing one. Jenny has a suspicion that she is not being paid the correct amount.
Jenny would like to confirm her rate of pay according to her employment agreement.
Is Jenny entitled to a copy of her employment agreement?

Facts: Andrew, aged 16 years, has just started work at a local media company. Andrew has looked over his employment agreement and has noticed that his rate of pay is $10.20 per hour.
Andrew knows that this is his first job, but still thinks his pay is too low.
Is Andrew entitled to a pay increase, even though this is his first job?
